1. What OverlayPhoto Does

OverlayPhoto is a browser-based photo editor offering 37+ filters, 12+ overlay effects, a live camera mode, collage maker, and utility tools (resize, compress, convert, crop, background remover, enhance). A companion mobile app adds live overlays, daily challenges, and time capsules.

2. How Your Photos Are Handled

• All editing on the web runs locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers.
• The AI-powered background remover and style transfer in the web app use in-browser models (WebGL / WASM); no image data leaves your device.
• On mobile, image processing happens on-device; optional cloud sync is opt-in and clearly labeled.
• We do not train AI models on your photos.

3. AI & Enhancement Disclaimer

AI-powered features (background removal, style transfer, auto-enhance) use generative and classification models. Output may be imperfect on complex scenes, low-resolution input, or unusual subjects. Review results before using them in publications, commercial work, or identity documents.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use OverlayPhoto to:

• Edit photos of people without their consent in a way that harms or misrepresents them;
• Create sexually explicit deepfakes, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content depicting minors in sexualized contexts;
• Impersonate real individuals in a misleading or defamatory way;
• Remove watermarks or copyright notices from content you do not own;
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or contains malware.

5. Community Content

Filter recipes, daily challenge submissions, and templates shared through the marketplace are moderated. We remove content that violates this policy and may suspend accounts that repeatedly violate the rules.

6. Reporting & Takedown

Report policy violations or copyright concerns to support@overlayphoto.com. We respond within 72 hours.

7. Limitation of Liability

OverlayPhoto is provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. See our Terms for full details.
