Use the Current Grain Overlay in the Web Editor

What the overlay does

The browser editor draws a deterministic speckled texture over the rendered image when you select Grain. It is a creative visual effect, not an analysis of the photo and not a model of a particular film stock.

Current browser workflow

1. Open overlayphoto.com/edit.
2. Select a suitable local photo.
3. Open the Overlays panel.
4. Select Grain.
5. Review the preview and export only if the visual result suits your use.

Current limits

• There is no Grain intensity slider or film-stock selector in the current editor.
• The editor does not identify a photo's ISO, emulate a named camera, or verify an analog-film look.
• The effect is rendered locally; keep an original file when you may want an unmodified version later.

Review before sharing

Inspect text, faces, smooth gradients, and dark regions in the exported result. A decorative texture can change legibility and fine detail, so do not assume one output will work for every image or destination.
